Community chesed initiative

Giving Heart

Young adults give to the wider community — and discover, often for the first time in years, that they are contributors.

A quiet Jerusalem stone street in late afternoon light

Giving Heart organizes acts of chesed throughout the community: hospital visits, visits to old-age homes, food-packing programs, and other opportunities to show up for someone who needs help.

The impact runs in two directions. The community receives real, needed help. And the young adults doing the giving develop purpose, confidence, empathy, self-worth, responsibility, and connection — a shift in how they see themselves.

When someone discovers that they can make a difference in another person's life, it can transform the way they see their own.
